Cetoddle is a large, round pokemon with a single tooth or tusk on the lower half of its mouth, and a horn sticking out of its forehead. It has large, round eyes, a stubby pair of legs, arms shaped like fins, and a tail fin, all attached to the round body that seems mostly to be its head. It also has pink spots on its body.

Cetoddle is believed to be a close relative of Wailmer. This is disputed however as Wailmer used to be a land dwelling species before becoming a sea-fairing one, which is the direct opposite of Cetoddle which came from the sea and began living on the land. After becoming a land dwelling species, Cetoddle began living in cold regions where it enjoys eating snow for the minerals inside. They live in packs, generally about five per pack.
